3.06 The Mother Wound Part II: Embracing the Chaos of Love

In this second part of a three part series on The Mother Wound, Kristina dives into the deeper layer of the Mother Wound: the pain we carry with respect to The Great Mother - the feminine aspect of creation. The Great Mother is maya. Maya, comes from Advaita Vedanta philosophy, which is a branch of Hinduism which subscribes to the idea of non-duality. That is, ultimately we are all one. In this context, maya is β€œthe magic power with which a god can make human beings believe in what turns out to be an illusion. By extension, it later came to mean the powerful force that creates the cosmic illusion that the phenomenal world is real. For the Nondualists, maya is thus that cosmic force that presents the infinite brahman (the supreme being) as the finite phenomenal world. Maya is reflected on the individual level by human ignorance (ajnana) of the real nature of the self, which is mistaken for the empirical ego but which is in reality identical with brahman” (Britannica, 2021). In this episode two silly best friends break down this philosophy to make accessing and healing The Great Mother Wound palpable for all.

Also discussed today: solar flares, John Lennon, Ram Dass, Stevie Nicks, and more.

The Four Steps to Healing the Mother Wound with Two Tools

1. Access:

  1. Ask: am I being hypersensitive or hyposensitive?

  2. Ask: do I deeply experience the injustice of gender roles or environmental injustices?

2. Awareness

  1. Ask: do I trust myself?

  2. Ask: when and why am I closing my heart?

3. Process

  1. Transmute your energy to the earth, i.e. dig a hole and scream into it.

  2. Expand your heart: imagine or feel your heart expanding horizontally, vertically, anteriorly, posteriorly, inferiorly, superiorly (essentially in all directions).

4. Rememberance

  1. Connect to the deeper truth: Love is always being given.

  2. Connect to the deeper truth: She is always with us.
